Goose Island State Park

Last week my brother and I traveled south to try to avoid some cold weather, with the intention of kayaking across a small Texas bay to a barrier island. It was still too cold to get onto the water, and deer hunters had taken over Matagorda Island. Even if we had got there, we wouldn't be allowed to wander the place. We did stop at some other sites. And we saw Whooping Cranes.
